WHO IS FUSION-COACHING???John Dargie is one of Britain's leading triathlon coaches. John has been involved in triathlon for 17 years and his background includes competing nationally for Scotland as a Junior and Senior. In the past 10 years his focus has moved from competition towards coaching though he remains active in all 3 sports. John has been working in sport for the past 11 years through his previous work providing sports science support to a variety of sports at national and international level. Through this work he became accredited as an Exercise Physiologist by the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES). He has been coaching triathlon for several years and is a BTF coach. His work experience as a triathlon coach includes: Coach to Kirsty McWilliam May 2003-Oct 2008 – multiple British Champion at Youth, Junior and Senior level. 2007 European Junior Bronze medallist, 2008 European Silver Medallist and 2008 World Junior Champion. 26 Ironman finshers, 2 top 10 Pro Ironman finishers. Coach to Graeme Stewart – Scotlands fastest Ironman ever – 8hrs 35 mins 09 secs. Triathlonscotland National High Performance coach September 2005-July 2007 2 athletes at 2002 Commonwealth Games 1 athlete coached to qualification for 2006 Commonwealth Games. Coach to 2 world age group champions and over 20 age group participants at European and World Champs. Head Coach Glasgow Triathlon Club 2001 – Oct 2008 Extensive experience of lactate testing, video analysis, power training. Specialist in bespoke coaching packages to suit individual needs. Links with high level service providers in other fields such as sports nutrition. |
